The unpainted ceiling is one of the elements of the Bee Home 10-frame polystyrene hive.

The ceiling contains plastic folds, which significantly strengthens the structure. There are seven round ventilation holes in the ceiling with plastic mesh that can be removed. There are also round polystyrene foam plugs for these holes.
