The polystyrene nucleus for 1 colony, BeeHome, unpainted
BeeHome 1-family nuc (unpainted) is a compact polystyrene
hive designed to keep the queen bee from leaving the queen cell to
fertilisation and the start of egg-laying.
The nucleus construction includes a polystyrene body and a
lid. The body is equipped with two flight holes: one is located on the front
wall and the other in the bottom. Both are equipped with round plastic baffles.
A metal mesh is provided in the bottom to provide ventilation.
The internal space of the nucleus is divided into two
compartments: the first contains 4 frames, and the second has a feeder
separated by a plastic grille.
The main advantage of polystyrene nuclei is their
lightweight, durable material with excellent thermal insulation. This ensures a
stable microclimate inside.
Why choose a Bee Home hive?
- Light weight - 4 times lighter than a
wooden analogue, which reduces physical exertion for the beekeeper.
- Strength and durability - wear-resistant
material is designed for more than 25 years of service.
- Resistant to weather conditions - does
not absorb moisture, does not crack from heat or frost, and does not fade in
the sun.
- Thermal insulation - prevents overheating
in summer, which reduces feed consumption and ventilation efforts.
