Entrance Reducer with Slide – 1 pc
The hygienic bottom is designed with a metal mesh and a sliding drawer, making ventilation
adjustments easy according to the season. This construction helps control Varroa infestations—falling mites pass through the
mesh and cannot return to the bees. Additionally, the bottom allows for the
easy collection of pollen
using a bottom pollen trap (available separately).
The plastic
entrance reducer allows for adjusting the entrance width or
closing it completely if needed.
The plastic
rebates strengthen the hive body, while small gaps at the
corners make it easier to separate glued components with a hive tool.
The front wall
features a ventilation hole, complete with both a plastic vent plug and a solid
polystyrene plug. In the active season, a plastic landing board (sold separately) can be
installed in the entrance.
The high roof
has four ventilation openings, each equipped with two plugs—one plastic and one ventilated. Its
height allows space for placing a feeder or soft feed for bee supplementation.
The hive elements are coated with yellow
and blue paint, enhancing resistance to sunlight, moisture, and extreme temperatures.
