Polystyrene beehive Zander with a hygienic bottom for four families Bee Home, painted blue and yellow
The Zander polystyrene hive with hygienic bottom for 4
families Bee Home (blue and yellow) is an innovative solution that combines the
functionality of four nuclei in one body.
The main advantage of this hive is a significant
simplification of the work of the beekeeper who is engaged in the rearing of
queen bees. Thanks to the use of the standard Zander frame, there is no longer
any need to work with small nuc frames. This makes it easy to create brood and
effortlessly transfer young queens to new families.
The hive set includes:
- High roof (W1015) - 1 pc.
- Feeder ceiling divided (W1124A-4)
- Zander/DNM divided body (D1019-4) - 1 pc
- Zander polystyrene dividing board (D1031-4) - 3
pcs
- Hygienic bottom divided (D102200-4) - 1 pc
- Polystyrene foam barrier to the bottom of the
Zander divided (D1035) - 1 pc
- Plastic vent plug (3048) - 8 pcs
- Trapezoidal plug made of polystyrene foam
(W3047) - 4 pcs
- Plastic flight barrier with latch (3145) - 1 pc
- Plastic landing board (hoof) (JW1001) - 4 pcs
The design of the hygienic bottom includes a metal mesh and
a drawer. There are three ventilation holes in the side and rear walls, which
act as air vents. A polystyrene foam plug and a plastic landing board for each
of the holes are included. The modified flight barrier covers the entire
flight, leaving only the ventilation hole, which is the fourth flight hole for
one of the hive compartments.
The body has grooves for the installation of three
polystyrene dividing boards, which divide the hive into four separate
compartments. Two Zander frames can be installed in each compartment, which
makes it much easier to work with compared to traditional nuclei with small
frames.
The feeder, divided into four sections, allows you to feed
each group of bees separately. It has compartments for syrup and a bee passage
separated by a mesh.
The high roof has four ventilation holes. Each ventilation
hole comes with two plugs - a plastic one and a ventilation one. The height of
the roof allows you to place a feeder or paste feed inside to feed the bees.
The main advantage of expanded polystyrene hives is their
lightweight, durable material with excellent thermal insulation. This helps to
maintain a stable microclimate inside, which contributes to a comfortable
wintering and increased honey collection (up to 50% compared to wooden hives).
Why choose a Bee Home hive?
- Light weight - 4 times lighter than its
wooden counterpart, which reduces the physical load for the beekeeper.
- Strength and durability - wear-resistant
material is designed for more than 25 years of service.
- Resistant to weather conditions - does
not absorb moisture, does not crack from heat or frost, and does not fade in
the sun.
- Thermal insulation - minimises heat loss
in winter and prevents overheating in summer, which reduces feed consumption
and ventilation efforts.
- Convenient hygienic bottom design - metal
grille and drawer help regulate ventilation and reduce the spread of varroa.
- Thoughtful ergonomics - plastic folds
strengthen the body, and special gaps at the corners make it easier to separate
the polished elements.
- Aesthetic appearance - blue and yellow
colour not only decorates the apiary, but also provides additional protection
of the hive from external factors.
The hive is painted with blue and yellow paint, which
increases its resistance to external factors (direct sunlight, moisture, high
and low temperatures).
